Guadalupe Resale Shop celebrates style, mission at Fashion Show
Nearly 140 fashionistas gathered at Guadalupe Resale Shop for a spirited Fashion Show and Private Sale showcasing designer apparel, shoes, handbags, jewelry and hats.
Held March 27 at Guadalupe Resale Shop in North Naples, the sold-out fashion show featured 12 volunteer models wearing trendy cocktail and party dresses, business attire, formalwear, casualwear and athletic apparel. Then, attendees enjoyed an exclusive opportunity to purchase all items from the show, as well as browse the boutique’s expanded selection of apparel and accessories.
“I think the Fashion Show surprised some guests who didn’t expect to see such high-quality items from designer brands like Ann Taylor, Vince Camuto, Calvin Klein, Chico’s, Talbots, Brooks Brothers and others,” said Kat McNabb, store manager at Guadalupe Resale Shop. “That’s what makes shopping at resale stores so appealing. You never know when you will discover a treasure.”
Guadalupe Resale Shop receives donations of new and like-new merchandise from generous individuals and businesses. In addition to ladies’ and men’s clothing, jewelry, purses and shoes, the Resale Shop also accepts donations of furniture, home décor, kitchenware, artwork, lamps, linens, and more.
The Fashion Show raised $5,800 and proceeds will support three educational programs at Guadalupe Center in Immokalee: the nationally accredited Early Childhood Education Program, After-school Tutoring & Summer Enrichment Program and college-preparatory Tutor Corps Program.
Greethel Leon, assistant manager at the Resale Shop, served as Fashion Show coordinator and was assisted by boutique volunteers Maureen Moreau, Barb Lowell and Jean McLellan.
