If you had one word to describe Guadalupe Center, what would it be?

Transformational

What is your relationship with Guadalupe Center?

Volunteer, Employee

How has Guadalupe Center positively impacted or transformed you, your family, your community and/or your outlook?

From the moment I was interviewing to be a part of the Guadalupe Center team, I knew I had found my home. When I come to work, I feel heard, valued and inspired. Working for Guadalupe Center, I don’t feel like I am sacrificing anything – I get to do what I love, with people I love, for a cause I love AND being treated really well while doing it.
The mission touched my heart right away and it didn’t take me long to become a volunteer mentor outside of my responsibilities as an employee. Becoming Stephanie’s mentor might possibly be even more rewarding than the job. This young woman is going to do such amazing things in life and I am beyond grateful to be a part of her journey. I’m proud to know that Guadalupe Center will keep lighting her path as she goes into college and beyond to change the world.
Frankly, I’m just happy to be a part of the Guadalupe Center family.

What do you hope is next for the future of Guadalupe Center and the community of Immokalee?

Our board and staff leadership have been so dedicated to the students we serve, our families, our staff and the community of Immokalee as a whole. Imagine how much Immokalee has changed over the last 40 years. Guadalupe Center has adapted to keep providing the best opportunities to those we serve and my only hope is that we build upon our sustainability to continue to do adapt and serve for generations to come.
